Wedge block for shaker screen is the press block to clamp or tense screen panel tightly on shaker deck.

Wedge blocks are mainly used to install framed shaker screens. Both of steel frame screen and composite frame screen. For example, the King Cobra series screen, Mongoose screen, KEMTRON KPT series screen. Usually we’ll use wedge blocks together with the hammer to knock it as steady as possible

Wedge block for shaker screen

Shaker screen wedge block is an easy tool to install or uninstall screen panel. It is rather easy to operate. When we put screen panels properly on shaker deck then we insert wedge block into right space between the positioning plate and screen panel. The wedge block higher side should be set parallel with positioning plate higher side. After confirming accuracy we use the hammer to knock the block as tight as we can. Each screen panel will request 2 blocks to secure. Repeat same action on another side of one screen.

Wedge blocks types are very different among different manufacturers. No matter color, shape, or internal structure, etc. For the colors, Aipu can produce the black ones, yellow, and red one. For structure, some of them are complete block made of polyurethane, while some of them are steel support embedded in polyurethane for better durability

And for wedge blocks size, it depends on design of operated shaker. Further detail is the space between screen panel and the positioning plate. For example, wedge block of Mongoose screen total length is about 380mm, while Cobra series screen wedge blocks are about 340mm with 71mm height at most.
