Centrifuge is used as 4th solids control equipment after desilter or mud cleaner. We kindly suggest don’t operate centrifuge to process fluids fixed with larger particles. Desilter cone will separate the particles over 15 microns. While centrifuge will get rid of solids sized 2~7 microns per different speed.

When we operate the centrifuge, it must be operated on a rigid, flat, level surface. To ensure itself balance and stability. Decanting centrifuge load must be balanced by placing tubes of equal size, shape , and containing an equal volume opposite each other. Do not overload the centrifuge and do not attempt to open any centrifuge until it has come to a complete stop

Check the centrifuge regularly to find out if any uncommon noise. And operate centrifuge always follow manufacturer user manual.

Maintenance tips of centrifuge

Besides decanter centrifuge operation the maintenance is important as well. The maintenance including motor check, gear box, belt, drum, screw conveyor, discharge port, rings, bearings, and so on. Checking items are centrifuge brushes, timer, speed and electrical leaks, and so on.

Always unplug the power cord before cleaning or servicing the centrifuge. At least weekly, wipe the centrifuge housing, rotor chamber, rotors and rotor accessories with a neutral cleaning agent.

Annually or as needed, the centrifuge functions and maintenance verification should be performed by qualified personnel.

Do not use decanter centrifuge if any part shows signs of corrosion or broken, mechanical damage, or wear.

Many users say the centrifuge is easy to break, as the material is S.S and working condition is trough. However, if we pay more attention on legal operation and maintenance we’ll enjoy better performance of decanting centrifuge.
