PU screen are widely used in mining industry, slurry separation, and so on. It performs well on dewatering result, it's not easy to be blocked as S.S screen. It is flexible, and durable. The high quality polyurethane is high anti-resistance, high anti-corrosion.

Polyurethane screens at Aipu solids control, including the hook strap one, the framed one. Hook strap ones are usually used to replace Derrick Polyweb screen. The most popular dimension is 1044x702mm. And popular openings are 0.85mm, 1mm, and 1.2mm.

There are many different dimension and size PU screens at Aipu. Such as the 914x700mm, 1020x700mm, 1044x702mm, 1220x700mm, 1040x750mm,  sized 0.075, 0.1mm, 0.42mm, 0.5mm, 0.6mm, 0.7, 0.85mm and so on

These screens are different. Some of them are configured with reinforced yarn, while some are not. And the manufacture technique is different among them.

Since above difference, the screen price vary from each other, too. Some average price is only USD523, while some is USD790.

Besides these hook strap screen, there are framed polyurethane screen. Some of them are square panel, some are rectangular one. According to user existing shaker, screens are easy to be configured flexibly.

Polyurethane screen is made of urethane or polyurethane. There are main 4 types in present market. How do they differ from each other? What is difference between polyurethane screen and common S.S shaker screen?

Polyurethane screen types

One type is the polyurethane screens panel injected with polyurethane supported by internal frame. Another type is polyurethane screen injected by pure polyurethane under mould. It is panel type, too. The third one is, metal wire covered by polyurethane material and woven to be web. Final one, is the polyurethane web with oblong opening but with yarn. Usually we tell the aperture as 0.8mm, 0.5mm, 0.1mm, 0.075mm.

These are polyurethane screen types per appearance or process technique. However, based on installation way, there are hook strip and wedge clamped screen.

Urethane screens are mostly used in mining industry, coal washing, civil construction. That requests different configuration on screen size or openings. Their hole types are different with oil drilling shaker screen.

For example, we usually say API 100 of shaker screen made of stainless steel wire mesh. However, we call polyurethane size as 0.075mm opening or aperture. Furthermore, the polyurethane screen is only single layer. While the common S.S screen are usually 2-3 layers. Some configuration even 4 layers

Polyurethane shaker screen fabrication is not as flexible as S.S one, especially on opening. Since the raw material limit manufacture technology. As we said, they are almost injected with certain mould.

Urethane screen is also referred to polyurethane shaker screen. Presently, for Derrick shaker, there are hook strip polyurethane screen with thin thickness and aperture sized 0.075mm, 0.1mm, 0.3mm, 0.5mm, 1.0mm, 2mm, and so on

Another type urethane screen is the urethane screen with thicker thickness similar as framed screen but it is a complete panel fabricated by polyurethane material with opening sized 1.0mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, and so on. Such opening are usually line shape or rectangular shape.

Between the holes or lines, there will be blocked panel as the manufacture technique and quality requirements. The panel urethane screen will be pressed by wedge block for more stable installation even under high vibration strenght

Besides replacement urethane screen for Derrick shaker, there are also other polyurethane screen. For example, there is also a polyurethane screen panel for M-I SWACO shaker. The polyurethane screen is more durable and corrosion resistant than other screens.

Presently, almost polyurethane screen are used in mining industry or the coal industry. The high solid content request more durable screen for less cost and better performance. So the stack sizer with urethane screen is very popular in the market.
