Solids control mud agitator

Almost every year, Aipu delivered over 200 sets of agitators for various of solids control system. There are horizontal type, vertical type. With or without shaft and impeller, the common worm and wheel geared or the helical bevel geared.

Usually, we suggest one set agitator per 3 meters of mud tank. Except shaker tank, almost every compartment requests agitator. If we consider the horizontal space limit, kindly suggest vertical type agitator.

Mud agitators including horizontal and vertical type. Vertical mud agitators hold same working principle as horizontal ones. They are also mounted on mud tank top. Main function is to mix drilling fluid prevent sediment of drilling fluid. Mud agitator is to maintain drilling fluid property

Vertical agitator can be configured with worm and wheel gear box. It also can be configured with bevel gear box. Bevel geared agitator requests less space. Its motor output shaft is downward. Vertical gear box will be coupled with vertical motor. That means motor, gear box, shaft are in one vertical line.

Vertical mud agitators

The shaft and impeller are custom built items. Shaft length, impeller diameter, blade pattern, and so on.

Aipu vertical agitator

Vertical agitators of Aipu mainly including APMA 5.5, APMA7.5, APMA 11, APMA15. Different agitators driven by different motors.  Accordingly, the gear box with different torque will be utilized. Nowadays, the helical bevel geared agitator is more popular than worm and wheel geared one

Helical bevel geared agitators request less space, provide more torque so they are more popular with many users. They are more suitable when we need agitators for pill tank or strip tank.

Considering different clients' demand, the impellers will be designed as single layer or double layers. If the tanks are rather deep may request triple layers or quadruple layers, and even more layers.

Features of vertical mud agitators

Compared with horizontal agitator, vertical agitators request less foot pint. They are more compact, more portable and easier to handle. No matter geared with worm and wheel box or helical bevel one, the vertical mud agitator will be smaller foot print than horizontal one. Motors of solids control vertical agitators are C face type. No matter what tank you have, you will get ideal vertical agitators from Aipu solids control.
