For oil drilling, poor boy degasser is the first equipment to process drilling fluid. Connection is between chock manifold and degasser inlet line. Large quantity gas will be separated out swiftly

Poor boy degasser is also referred to mud gas separator, liquid gas separator, or gas buster. In oilfield, we set poor boy degasser before shale shaker. While shaker is before vacuum degasser.

Mud gas separator can be designed with internal plates or internal hopper. Such design helps gas bubble break down. Oilfield poor boy degasser is safe equipment, especially when invaded gas is in large quantity

During oil drilling, gas will flow into drilling fluid constantly. If gas pressure is at high level, there will be blow out at site. It's rather dangerous for whole drilling and operators.

We need to connect inlet pipe with chock manifold. The fluid flows into oilfield poor boy degasser with gravity. Gas bubbles will break with collision on buffel blade. Put degasser at flat ground with the foundation bolt. At complete plain level. Make sure all connections in good condition. Check pressure gauge regularly.

When oilfield poor boy degasser stop working, we have to clean the vessel completely. Any sediment or mud residue is prohibited
